Short Bio

Dr. Jeffrey Robinson is an IT technologist who has worked in Software Development and Computer Integrated Manufacturing for more than 20 years. As Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff at Motorola he developed advanced manufacturing systems. He now works as a consultant in IT process and quality and on technical projects ranging from Six Sigma, CMMI and ITIL to high availability systems and data mining and data analysis.

He has a B.A. in Physics from Monmouth College, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois, an MBA from Central Michigan University, and a Ph.D. in Information Systems from Nova Southeastern. He is also a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and has been teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in technology and business since 1989. He is a frequent lecturer and author and holds four software patents in manufacturing control theory.

Dr. Robinson has been teaching graduate and undergraduate courses for over 20 years and has developed and taught numerous technology courses in computer science, programming, operating systems, quantitative statistics, database management, decision theory, data mining and business intelligence, project management, organizational design, and risk management.

He is a former US Marine Corp pilot (NFO) and air traffic controller

He is married, has two grown sons, two daughters, and too many pets.
